alias grace 2

Alias Grace 2
Hello again heres my postOKay so the book is pretty good still. The one thing that i have noticed in the book is it does do a good job of pertraying that she iis a little simple and uneducated and slightly crayz. For example when Alias is talking to the Doctor te author doesn't use quotations marks instead it's like i said ... and he told me.... And when she responds she often responds with a rhetorical question. But yea, I like the book and it keeps me intrested even though it's little crazed it's pretty good. Although i am not as far as i think i should be.Summary:From the point were i left off last time. this chapter opens with three long letters one from another doctor to doctor jordan explaining what his objective is, one from Doctor jordans mother, and one from doctor jordan. Basically it continues in third person about Jordans past and present life and about how he is having second thoughts about working with Grace. It switches back to grace's point of view after that. Basically grace and Jordan just start meeting and talking about her and all. Grace does begin to like Doctor Jordan instead of being scared of him. They don't talk about her murder or anything at first just simple basic questions to get Grace to loosen up. Third person switches back again to Jordan when he meets reverand Virrenger who is trying to get Grace out of prison/asylum. Doctor Jordan belives that the reverrand may like Grace and that could be part of the reason why he is trying to get her out. The following day Doctor Jordan is invited to a disscusion circle thing concerning grace. However prior to the meeting the governor's daughter does some flrting with the doctor. That was chapter four.Chapter five is fairly short and opens with grace and jordan disscussing her dream the night before. she says that she doesn't remember it all and hse was confused but that's what her lawyer told her to say. Grace then opens up about her past life and her mother dying on her way to Canada(they were moving from Ireland) Grace says that her father was worthless bascially, and he got Grace and the rest of her siblings a room at Mrs. BUrtt's house. Here Grace gets her first job and the chapter concludes with a letter Jordan has written to his friend concerning grace.Literary elements:"...but he can't picture any man actually paying for her services. It would be like paying to be run over by a wagon..." Similie page 57"...Or a whole bottleful says the other, gin leads to sin, god bless it, theres nothing like a little fuel to makes the fire burn..." Rhyme gin sin page 63"...their tassels like pale yellow-green catapilers dangling, and the dogs barking and the carriges and wagons passing, splashing through the water in the road..." imagery page 64It is still a little hard to pick out domminant themse but one i would say is like sexist. because it seems that alot of the women in the story are undermined and uneduacated and that leads them to doing crazy things like killing people for example. So thats about all for this post. and i hope your brake is good and i will see you soon enough.
oh yea sorry if i posted this twice
